The luteal phase is the second half of your menstrual cycle; it starts after ovulation and ends when your period begins. During this time, your body produces more progesterone, a hormone that prepares your body for a possible pregnancy.
During the luteal phase, PMS, hunger, and cravings can increase. Support your body with complex carbs and high-fiber foods like leafy greens, cruciferous veggies, and sweet potatoes. For cravings, try healthier options like dark chocolate, fruit, nuts, or pumpkin seeds (rich in magnesium). Stay hydrated to help reduce bloating, brain fog, and PMS symptoms.
